The word "exegete" means literally "to lead out." The subject of Biblical Hermeneutics is dedicated to the science and art of interpreting Scripture. As a Christian, I believe that we should interpret, share, and apply Scripture, culture, community, and ourselves. This site is an attempt at capturing some of that in my own life.

1) Craft. It's a craft that allows me to work with my hands creatively and constructively.
2) Hobby. Life can be quite busy. I needed some kind of outlet, you know? So, out of all the hobbies I could take a swing at, I wanted one that wouldn’t take me away from my family and would bless my friends.
3) Hospitality. I LOVE entertaining people. I always have. Having our home filled with family and friends from all walks of life is something that Jana and I genuinely enjoy.
4) Jesus. The Bible itself has tons to say about food and community and redemption and hope.
