The word "exegete" means literally "to lead out." The subject of Biblical Hermeneutics is dedicated to the science and art of interpreting Scripture. As a Christian, I believe that we should thoughtfully interpret, share, and apply Scripture, culture, community, and ourselves. This site is an attempt at capturing some of that in my own life.

1) Craft. It's a craft that allows me to work with my hands creatively and constructively.
2) Hobby. Life can be quite busy. I needed some kind of outlet, you know? So, out of all the hobbies I could take a swing at, I wanted one that wouldn’t take me away from my family and would bless my friends.
3) Hospitality. I LOVE entertaining people. I always have. Having our home filled with family and friends from all walks of life is something that Jana and I genuinely enjoy.
4) Jesus. The Bible itself has tons to say about who God is around the table.
